Practical Home & Garden Support
We are looking for a practical, reliable person to help clients with everyday jobs around the home and garden. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in doing small jobs properly, works respectfully in other people's homes, and helps make life feel more manageable.
What the role involves
- Carrying out small repairs and general household fixes
- Building flat-pack furniture
- Hanging shelves, mirrors, pictures and other items
- Mounting televisions for display purposes (non-electrical work only)
- Filling, patching and other cosmetic touch-ups
- Interior and exterior painting
- Lawn mowing and general garden upkeep
- Hedge trimming and garden tidy-ups
- Jet washing patios, paths and outdoor areas
What we need from you
- Good practical skills in DIY, home maintenance or gardening
- A careful approach and pride in the standard of your work
- A calm, respectful manner with clients and in their homes
- The ability to work independently and manage your time well
- Reliability, honesty and a strong focus on working safely
- Enhanced DBS check required
It would also be helpful if you have
- Previous experience in maintenance, DIY, gardening or a similar practical role
- Experience working with adults, older people or within community-based services
- A full driving licence and access to your own transport
